Hi, noob here hoping to get some guidance. I've made this geometry out of a pyro sim (first image) and applied a material with subsurface scattering inspired by this smithsonite I saw at a museum (second image). I want to create something like the large-scale fractures you see in the rock, where there's an apparent divide and a change in the appearance of how light passes through. Entagma's tutorial with boolean shatter [youtu.be] seemed promising, but I'm not getting the desired result. See in the third image it almost looks like the intersecting regions have wrong normals. Maybe the technique was really meant just for transparent glassy materials instead of the SSS I'm using, or maybe something's off because I'm using Karma instead of Mantra. How would you guys approach this effect? Appreciate any help!
