Hi,

Before I embark on what I expect to be some complicated vex coding, does anyone know if there is an existing way to blend between two sets of skin capture weights using a mask?

For example, one set of weights imported from an FBX made in an external DCC and one set of weights resulting from a proximity capture in Houdini.. I'm wanting to blend between the two using a mask painted onto the points.

The capture proximity node has a Blend Factor parameter but this only operates globally and can't be made to use a mask attribute.

Thanks
Peter

you can use Attribute Composite to blend boneCapture attribute from multiple inputs using mask attribute

- create as many Blends multiparm instances as you have inputs and set them all to 1
- specify your mask attribute name in Alpha Attribute parameter

Oh really, that works with bone capture attributes as well?

That's amazing! I'll give it a try.

Thanks very much.
