Hi all,

Just having a bit of trouble getting my colour workflow right from Houdini to Resolve. It's really close but a bit darker in resolve.
If there's anyone out there who knows a bit about resolve, do these settings look okay?

Houdini OCIO settings

Houdini Display Settings

EXR output settings

Resolve Settings

I'm not sure on the resolve side. I've got version 2 picked but I'm not sure if that matches Houdini's version...
Anyway just thought I'd check here.

Thanks,
Pete

I also struggled with this problem and came to the conclusion that DaVinci adds some kind of correction or interprets ACES differently. I couldn't achieve the same look as Houdini in any way. Although in Nuke you'll get 100% Houdini-like results right away, so this is clearly a DaVinci feature. Moreover, if I recall, the color turned out closer if I chose DaVinci's colorspace instead of ACES's. That was incredibly strange. So, either give in and tweak the colors with DaVinci's color wheel, or go to Nuke.

Hey,

Good to know it's not just me
It's so close, I'll probably just let it go. It's just frustrating not being able to get a match.
If I get it working, I'll update here.

Thanks!

Just to clarify, are you using an Apple computer?
