Well this may be a dumb question bordering on stupidity.

But how come, when I change pivot locations in Objects Transform tab, the pivot does not change. I mean I have Origin display on, and little P does move when numerically change the parameters. But when i actually transform the object the transformation gizmo is draw at default 0,0,0 and all transforms use default as pivot not the new pivot.

If your using version 6 then right click on your handle and pick “Snap to Pivot”.

If your using version 5.5 then well ummm, yea. You'll have to detach the handle and move it by hand. (Unless I'm missing something).

Jim is correct. Pivots in 5.5 are not what they are in 5.5
The interactive jack handles in the viewport do not obey a non zeroed pivot on an object in 5.5. This has been changed in 6.
