I am wondering if there is a way to hide particle groups. So just like we can confine POPs to named groups, can we also hide those groups.
Case in point.
Rain fallsm hit the ground, then splits..
The original birth group is named Rain_Group.
The Split particles are called Splash_Group. The Split kills originals.
Now I wish to render the Rain_Group separataly from Splash_Group.
To do that I need to first hide one then the swtich the visibilities.
Thanks.

hey david,
when you split your particles name them in the ‘birth group’ section, (eg, splitz ), under the ‘birth’ tab. and also tick ‘preserve group’
now when you go into SOPs and place down a POP MERGE bring in the simulation. stick on a deleteSOP and select the ‘splitz’ group, now select ‘delete non-selected’ in the operation option.
you should only see your split particles in the viewport when you play your animation. change to ‘delete selected’ to only see/render the original particles.

Are you sure? I did that and everything is being deleted.
The split group is Splash_Create.
I select that in DeleteSOP menu and set it to Delete non-selected. Plainly its not working as everything is deleted.

The correct settings for this effect to work is to set Entity to Points. But before that, set Keep Points to ON.
Thanx god advice!
