1.Fedora 8 and houdini-9.1.179-linux_i686_gcc3.4.7z.Work OK.
2.When the license has expiried(monthly - Apprentice), I installed
Fedora 9 and houdini-9.5.156-linux_i686_gcc3.4.7z. System was
UNSTABLE. I have uninstalled them. The license has not expired
(monthly - Apprentice).
3.I've return Fedora 8, and downloaded
houdini-9.5.170-linux_i686_gcc3.4.7z. I can't unpack it. I have got
message: Error.

Hi acaiborka,

Have you verified that the size / md5sum of the file you downloaded matches the information on the download page?

Are you using an external program like ‘7z’ to unpack the archive, or are you using the archive's self-extracting ability?

Download is fixed now - give er another go.

Thanks for your support - I have installed and run HOUDINI but:

1.Color Settings -> Color Sheme:
a) Houdini Pro is bright (washed out),
b) WW_Dark HiCon: MENU=> Windows ->Desktop: Animate, Look_De
velopment, Model - Viev is bright (washed out); and … ->Desktop: Build, Output, Posing, Technical - Scene View is also
bright (washed out). The other panells in all desktops are OK.
2.When I run Help: -> Start Here (http://localhost:48626/start/) [localhost] or ->
Houdini Help (http://localhost:48626/) [localhost] or -> Example Files (http://localhost:48626/examples/) [localhost] I have got the message:
