Hi! Sorry for asking so many newbish questions, I set up a simple scene with a grid and a sphere. The grid is supposed to reflect the sphere. I attached a glass shader to it, turning the reflection intensitiy to 1. But for some reason the sphere does not get rendered as a reflection. Any idea what I did wrong?

Hi. For the glass shader from the Material Palette, I think you may have to set your Mantra's render engine to “Ray Tracing”… I can't quite remember as it's been a while back since I used it…

I tried turning that on, but didn't work. Refractions are getting rendered properly by the way, but just the refractions don't.

I'm not sure I understand the question. Did you make your grid reflective?

Well I attached a shader to it, that includes reflection calculation. If I got to explicitly turn on reflection for my grid, I certainly did not. Where would I find that option?

Nevermind what I said before. I just tested what you said and I'm getting reflections on the glass sphere fine. It's just subtle. I've attached a hip file. Render it /out/mantra1 first, then WITHOUT closing mplay, rendering it again but with Reflection on the glass material set to 0. You should be able to notice the difference along the edge of the sphere. Notice that I've turned off refraction altogether in the .hip file.
