Hi there,

I'm very new to Houdini and 3d and was wondering if there are any good modelling tutorials for Houdini, as i'm a hands on learning person

Thanks

Hello;
I'm new as well. There are some example files in the Houdini help files, as well as tutorials in the learning section on this site. Another awesome resource is 3dbuzz.com and digitaltutors.com.

I'm working through the 3dBuzz tutorial called Houdini Fundamentals, and I must say, it's really, really thorough and absolutely well worth studying.

Especially the once about “thinking procedurally”, and network types.

Cleared up some of the theoretical complexity one needs to understand to work efficient in Houdini.

Just awesome.

I would love to watch those tutorials. I have flash installed but all I get is a gray box when I click one of those tutorials.

Oh… That is really too bad, because these tutorials are great!

What OS do you run?
Have you tried reinstalling the Flash player, and/or use another browser?

Hope you get things going :-)

If you don't log in to the website only the first video will play.

there's a really superb tutorial at

http//www.cmivfx.com/

called “Houdini Procedural Modeling”.

Cheers
