Hello,
I have the Apprentice version of Houdini build 170 and I was wondering when I want to install a new build, do I just install over the top or do i have to uninstall the earlier build first?
I am unsure how the license will be picked up by the new build. Do I have to return license before new install?
sorry for the basic questions, I just did not want to stuff up my license.
Thanks,
David

Hi,
By default, the new build will install to its own directory so no worries there. As for the license, it will be valid for all builds so just install it already!

Cheers!

Don't worry about it and frequently install new builds. They coexist side by side on a hard drive using the latest licence server and your single license. Then you can remove oldest builds after some time.
In Houdini' world it's a normal situation having some number of builds on a disk since things change sometime quite dramatically and you'd like to have a choice. This is great system!
cheers!
