Hi. I am new to Houdini and i am just learning how to use it and i have a very simple question
How do you make half a circle? I am currently trying to create my desk just to get some of the basics down but there is a part of my desk that is half of a circle and i cannot figure it out lol.
If anyone knows what i am asking could i would appreciate the help

If you change the“Primitive Type” of your cirle to something different than “Primitive” this enables the option to change the “Arc Type”.
Arc Type open and a non 180 degree circle might be the half circle you are looking for.
Hope this helps.

oops didnt realize the “could” in my first post.
anyways. im sort of looking for a…cylinder that is cut in half vertically.
i tried making a tube and adding end caps but it does not seem like i can just delete half of that tube.
argh this is probably really simple to do too lol

You could use the clipSOP but I didn't find an easy way to make cap the open side …
The attached file uses a cookieSOP

The tube as an input of a box creates a bounding box for it.
The transform scales it slightly and moves it around.
The cookie is called boolean in other applications.
I guess it's best to read the help for each node as there are also links to other sample scenes. Never even downloaded blender, so I cannot give you any transition tips. Sorry.

Personally, I would just PolyExtrude a Circle. File attached.
