Hi, there. I have some point attributes on the geometry generated by an SOP HDA. Is there any way to get those on the mesh shape created in Maya? As far as I can tell only P, N, uv, Cd, and Alpha are supported.

Unfortunately, no, because Maya doesn't have generic attributes like Houdini does. Each mesh can only contain a fixed set of attributes. Particles is probably the only exception where you can have arbitrary attributes attached to particles.

It seems like attributes could be supported in some fashion. For example, the alembic importer adds typed attributes to the shape node for the per-point data. This data survives intact when exported to alembic out of maya.
