After the webinar introduction to particles I decided to go ahead and try tackling custom forces. My objective, because is allways good to have an objective, was to create a outer space experience, ala interstelar. The project is basically 3 diferent custom forces, spin force, a realistic gravitational pull and a secondary gravitational pool with particles absorbing each other. There is a lot of room for improvement but I feel the core of the structure is there. While studying the forces I found an odd behaviour on the particle interact node…I ended up customizing it. I will go more into detail another day when I had more sleep

That looks wicked! Did you render it in Mantra? How long did it take?

Thanks!

No I render it in Arnold, I was testing gridmarkets HtoA render farm. It was the first time I ever used Arnold actually. In this case I feel Mantra would have been a better solution actually, as Mantra handles particles very well. But I kind of wanted to play with Arnold, so .

The lighting is awesome. On a side note, this seems like the birth of a stellar system.

Lol…don't you worry…I will be hearing it all about it from my brother (he actually research on the subject) suspension of disbelief is hard for him
