Hi,
I'm trying to simulate just the outer layer of wax evenly melting off of an object. Like the object is shedding it's skin, so to speak. I want to have the heat source evenly distribute the heat on all of the particles on the outside edge. I hope this makes sense. Could someone describe to me how I can I do this? At the moment I have a sphere heat source that I animated to go around the object in a circular motion, but it just isn't quite doing what I'm looking for. It would be better if the heat was more evenly hitting the outside.
