I need to remove and then add kinematics to include more bones on my skelton but I've already done all of the weighting. When I attempt to do this, I loose all of the weighting info. on the model. Can I do this without loosing my bind weights?

How did you add your new bones? Make sure you're doing this at the capture frame (the default is frame 0) so that the capture info is immediately updated. Otherwise, your geometry will appear to be screwed up but reset themselves if you go back to frame 0 afterwards.

Your points should be still binded to their old bones but with the new bones blended in with whatever method you had initially did the capture with. You will still need to do some re-weighting though of course to take into account the new bone to get the desired results.

Also, make sure that you don't delete any of your old bones as that will obviously lose your capture info. Just add new ones.
