As the above image shows, one can inspect most important attributes of an APEX node in the APEX network view: callback, name, Cd, tags and parameters.

Except properties. Where are they?

They are available via the right click menu. You will get a small dialogue to get and set them there.

Sorry, but which right click menu?

RMB on an APEX node gives me a menu like this:

No "properties" there.
stheo
Press 'P' for parameters.

Editing tags do go into the "properties" attribute but in general, I think the properties are expected to be manipulated elsewhere right now since they're mainly used by the autorigging tools and APEX Configure Controls.

Could you show a screenshot or something? I'm 100% sure tags and properties are different things. They are two different attributes:

So I'm really confused by "Editing tags do go into the "properties" attribute". Obviously editing tags should affect tags only, right?

I'm sorry for my non-native English. It seems that I couldn't express my question clearly so everyone misread it. Perhaps my wording was bad.

I'd like to inspect and edit properties in APEX Network View. Not tags, not parms, not anything that isn't properties.

“Properties” is a dictionary. It’s sort of a nested dictionary, so there’s no way to view it outside of the geometry spreadsheet. I’m not in front of my comp right now, so I might get the node names wrong, but properties can be adjusted before the apex rigging process with a Adjust dictionary node, or During the apex process using a component script with a dict::build node.

I go a little bit into that process in this video, at around the 10 minute mark: https://youtu.be/c1XkJoj0eBE?si=065SLWCuIY6ktpT6 [youtu.be]

I think it's just not possible (though yeah, was advertised for 20.5)

Ah no, you're right, I was misremembering. So I think the elovikov has the answer right now.
