Hello! My idea is very simple: a magical skill that summons mushrooms, causing them to grow from the earth, ripping through the soil beneath them. I might also include spores that trigger additional mushroom growth, but I’ll decide on that later. I’m aiming for a stylized effect since I’m working on a laptop, which limits the complexity of the simulations. I’m still unsure about textures and how I’ll approach them.

What I have for now:
1. Houdini setup (probably will do export in 2 parts, earth destruction and growing mashroom)
Things to do in this part:
- Create the mushroom growth animation with better stylized timing
- Make the ground more earth-like looking
- Animate the mushroom cap’s growth and add finer details

2. Unity Scene (URP)
Things to do there:
- Scene, camera, post-processing, timeline setup
- Choose the best export from Houdini
- Create simple VFX shaders?
- Add some VFX (Maybe I can make some magical dust too?)

Small update! Okay the thing is working, now I need to create some different variants, also still don't like a mashroom shape. For the materials, I would probably go with unity toon shade WIP example -

More work on the simulation
More work on the scene setup

Update, Scene is getting bettet!
Made some flipbooks and simple particles.
Grass is canceled
Next step: Figuring out HDA for unity. plagin is working! And I made some parameters in HOudini


And yes, mashrooms are blue now
