Hi folks, I'm facing a bit of an issue when rendering my scene. It's about 85 frames long. It's set to render using karma XPU, both in the render sttings and in the USD render ROP. It got through the first 50 frames without a hitch., it took about 8 mins/frame. After that however, it froze on a frame, so i restarted the houdini file and resumed from the frame it died on. But now, the renders are painfully slow, it takes about 25 minutes to render a frame. What I've managed to gather so far is that, XPU is no longer using the GPU, the load is being taken only by the CPU. I did a test render using XPU in the viewport and the Optix was at 0, or at best 3-4%. Can someone help me with fixing this? If this has something to do with VRAM, how would i go about rectifying it? I did also clear the cache from the cache manager, but that doesn't seem to help. If anyone knows how to fix this, I'd really appreciate some help, on a tight deadline. Thanks in advance!

It could be a driver bug or something.
What is your system?
- Linux? Windows?
- What driver?
- What Houdini version?

Are you able to render out one of the problematic frames with a log of Verbosity=5? (via the karma command it would be -V5)
Once we have that we could look for errors, and also a more detailed memory report from XPU.

Also, you can get stats from the .exr image itself via "iinfo -J myfile.exr"
You could post that here and we could look for errors etc...

I did had similar problem with some of my scene when VRAM gets too high GPU just fails. Seeing it in dual GPU system as well where 1 or both GPUs stops rendering.
After guessing work finaly figured VRAM is the case after using render stats. Turn them on in display settings for viewport, guides -> Render stats under Additional information, you can follow up VRAM usage there.
