But I'm here mainly to admire the great error message - "Try running 'launchctl bootout' as root for richer errors'.

Dear SideFX, if we would want richer errors, we would go to Autodesk. We're here for an experience without errors.

I never get these kinds of errors on windows, you report a bug, or email the support for this.
However, "Richer Errors" here means that if you do the thing specefied you will get more detailed error desicription, to know what's going wrong.

I know what Richer Errors was supposed to mean . Still funny.
Devs run their special version of English, I guess.

Also, of course, launchctl bootout by itself does nothing, it needs the name of service to unload. But thanks all the same.

Btw, the license server itself is working nicely despite the initial error
