Just for some context, I'm a student and last year I set up my own little render farm with my classmates' PCs and some extra ones. It's been great and has been working like a treat. But for an upcoming project I wanted to try distributed FLIP wave tanks and I followed the documentation and used the shelftools and it worked... I think?

After fiddling around with some stuff it seemingly does work, but I barely get any meaningful performance out of it. RAM usage is only a fraction less than running it all on one PC. And the speed difference is negligible.

Also, in the video where I got distribution turned off, it keeps the fluid in the slices in a way I would not expect it to do. I know that unchecking the checkbox on the null isn't an accurate representation but it's the only thing I can find.

Any and all insight is welcome! Thank you
