I've noticed that Box Picking selects through an object (i.e. verticess on opposite side are selected).

Lasso & Brush do not do this.
Is this the expected behavior - is this a bug that should be reported - or is there a setting that i'm missing?


BTW, is the number of selected vertices, edges, primatives/polys displayed anwhere?

Yeah, it's the designed behavior but there's been requests to improve it.

Middle-click on your SOP node in the Network View pane to see to those geometry stats.
