Some attempt to integrate Maya as Houdini Modeling Tool…

I am happy to show live Maya-Houdini integration. All surface information/modification will affect Houdini SOP immediatelly.

That could be completely live connection or “connection-on-demand”, when Houdini geometry will update after mouse button release in Maya (keep the performance of network connection).

Houdini geometry will be re-created after lost connection/houdini crash/geometry deleting accedetly etc.

For high-poly objects - no problems!

Just have to use “by request” option. That mean the mesh information will be updated by shortcut pressing only.

Or, faster - by release of mouse button (as you can see in video with not “live” connection option).

Blender are Python based CG package, so actually, the best for using
