Very nicely done.
I am sure many would love to see what you modified on top of the standard Pyro settings.

And those additions to the pyro solver are quite substantial!
Thank-you for sharing.

Really nice effect! Thanks for sharing it.
I'm trying to understand the DOPnet. I was wondering what the first 2 sop geo nodes connected to the smoke object are doing. I can see that the one creating the “sopsource” data is bringing in the smoke path curve, but Im not sure how since its not referencing any SOP geometry. I dont really understand what the “temppoints” sopgeo is doing.
I was also wondering how I can visualize some of those custom fields. I tried setting some things in the sopvector field to ‘set always’ but I can only see the vector streamers on the first frame, then they dissappear.
Thanks

Hi!!!
The first sop and renderparamsvolatile is to visualize temppoints data; temppoints data comes from aeb_shell_temperature, those points are custom temperature and divergence sources that add more detail to the sim.
The reason why you can't visualize the custom fields is because of the last gas calculate sop that clears the static fields to be less memory aggressive.
I have many many changes to this technique right now, mainly optimizations and better smoke behavior. But I have to wait to H12 to implement those changes, will be nice to see this simulation almost realtime!!!!

Thanks for the info! Looking forward to seeing the new version soon. Im gonna keep picking this file apart until I can fully understand the entire process. Really like your other vimeo vids too, very inspirational stuff.
