I have a Flip simulation done in H14. When I export it as an .abc and open in SI2015SP1 it crashes at a certain frame. If I take the .bgeo surface cache and use the Houdini 13 Alembic Cache ROP to export it, then it works just fine in SI. Has the Alembic Cache ROP changed in H14? Even if it has, I suspect the problem is on the Softimage side. I tried using Crate and it reads the H14 .abc geometry fine without crashing, but I'm having trouble reading a vertex attribute with Crate (which is probably due to my lack of experience with Crate). I suppose the H13 workaround is usable but it would be nice to not have to do that.

You could try omitting various attributes to see if one of those is the problem.

But in any case, I'd submit the alembic cache and/or hip files to sidefx support!
