There used to be talk about protected digital assets. What is the status of this?

Digital assets and Houdini Engine makes a lot of sense for a plugin developer, but I think protection of R&D IP would be needed for more serious development? No?

You can do this from the Assets > Manager Asset Libraries… window, the Operators tab.

Right-click on the asset you wish to “black box” and click on “Create black box asset…”.

This black-boxed asset should work in Houdini Engine as it does in Houdini proper.
