In recent builds of houdini including the last productionbuild, (vc9) on windows 8 I get this error message on startup, tried it on a second computer, but in the same network. so it would be great if someone could test it

I've been getting the same errors at work as well, ever since build 401. 394 was fine. I've filed it as a bug via support email earlier in the week but have yet to find a solution.

But my home computer running apprentice 405 doesn't experience it. /shrug

same here, 2 computers give errors 1 is fine
all 3 are in one network

the message appears on every time a filebrowser opens

Yeah, I get asked to insert a floppy into drive A:, which doesn't exist.
