Hey,
just a short question here. When I output a sequence in open exr and load it into after effects, the backround is just an alpha. What am I missing here? Of course I enabled “render light geometry” etc. It is also visible when I load the sequence into the houdini comp network.
HDR backround not visible with open EXR

This is actually a feature.
The light background does not get an alpha, it's only written to RGB, so that you can comp the objects without rendering an extra matte.
If you need the alpha to be solid white for the whole frame, you can tick that on inside After Effects' “interpret footage” I believe.
