Hi all.
I'm absolutely newbie in Houdini and a brand new member of the forum.
I would like to simulate two fluids with different densities flowing in opposite directions.
The lighter one flows over the heavier one and at the interface they interact each other.
As a first step I should learn how to set a certain density for a certain fluid.
I see that I can set it inside the autodopnetwork node, in the physical properties of the flip object, but differently form viscosity, which does have effect on the particles movement, the density seems to have no effect.
I also tried to set “density by attribute” in the volume motion tab inside the flipsolver attributes, but nothing changes.
So I supposed that I can't see any difference in terms of density unless I make the fluid interact with another fluid with different density. But I don't know how to do it. I made a fluid tank and I poured fluid from a sphere over it, but the fluid from the sphere does not interact with the water inside the tank.
It is evident that I need to study, and I would do it happily if I would find a detailed book/tutorial/source about fluid simulation.
A lot of spheres pouring water over a static floor over the web, but nothing more advanced.
I saw the oil/water simulation by Sadjad Rabiee (Joker 386), which is really great, but I can't understand how to reproduce it.

Thank you Enivob. It is quite hard to follow for me, but I will have a deep look to see if I can retrieve some useful hints. Anyhow, what I need is quite easier. I just have to pour a fluid with a certain density into a tank filled with a fluid with different density. This would be a good starting point to go on with the rest of my project.
