Could someone provide an example for how to set up a VDB mask?

I'm trying to use the VDB Smooth SOP, with another VDB to mask the parts I wish to smooth.

The documentation is a bit unclear…

Hi
The easiest way is to use a Fog VDB as the mask for the VDB Smooth operator.

Make a box, then pass that to vdbFromPolys to make your density grid. Assuming you want a mask with a falloff, note the width of the transition from 0-1 in vdbFromPolys can be controlled via “interior band voxels”

hope that helps!
