Hi!

New Houdini user here. Trying to learn the character side of things and figured I'd just practice by trying to create a rig for one of the native houdini characters (Tommy). Joint Capture Biharmonic have worked like a charm before and is very impressive in the skinning it puts out.

However, it has stopped (?) working for me on this character, and it seems to be related to my mirrored joints. The characters left side get some nicely captured weights, but the right side seems very broken. I've tried deleting the capturing setup and redoing it but I end up with the same results.

Thing is, it did work before, but then it stopped working when I re-arranged the order of my orient-joints node. Have I messed anything up? Is there some kind of attribute I need to feed downstream in order for jntcapbiharmonic to properly recognize my mirrored joints?

Thanks!

It's a bit hard to tell from just the video. Can you post your hip file?

PS. In the future, please use the Rigging forum for posts like this. Thanks!
