In an AutoDopNetwork File node I Open floating file chooser. Is there a way to then navigate and choose to the folder I'd like to save .sim files to?
right now I can navigate to the folder, but the choose button on the file dialogue box is not enabled. I'm guessing that if there was already a folder in there with a .sim file in it I would be able to choose this file, but what's an easier way to just choose a folder to save .sim files I'm going to create?

Odd, I've never had this, but it may be a Mac only thing. Maybe you should upgrade your Houdini version to the latest daily build (9.5.371 at time of writing), or at least the latest production build (9.5.350).

I've had this before, too. As a quick workaround, you can try setting HOUDINI_USE_NATIVE_FILE_CHOOSER=3 in your environment.
