I've alway installed with sudo without any problems. I have no problems with 9.5. The only problem node is the basic surface shader from the material palette and of course the update shaderball which works ok on h9.5 as well

Hi folks
Has anyone got any problems with regards to laying down a basic surface shader in the material palette? I need to go to shop level and dive into the node as the parameters are not promoted. (changing base color in the material palette has no influence on the underlying surface shop)
Also update shaderball icon is broken and hangs Houdini
I have submitted bug report as I couldn't find anything in the forum regarding this

I found the problem. If render scheduler is open and ‘clear completed jobs’ is not ticked, mantra will only render the first frame. Ticking the box solves the problem

Has anyone experienced any problems with rendering a frame range with H10 HD?
Mantra stops after rendering the first frame. Tried it with both H10.0.282 and H10.0.291
I also tried on H9.5.413 and have no problems there

GCC 4.2 (lenny) is the one you want
With regards to licensing, you can either run on Linux or windows, and if you have to reinstall your operating system you simply send the licence back and redeem it when you've installed your new operating system

Just installed the new 180.11 nvidia driver and enabled the visual effects. Houdini runs perfectly with compiz enabled.
