Looks good. It would probably also look cool as smoke.

yep
low/mid resolution fluids acting as fields + tons of particles = cool smoke // ink

I love it! Looks great! Any more info about the rendering? Time? How many points etc?

Great stuff you've been doing!

Cheers!

What does this shader do precisely? Looks like a simple diffusion. Can you explain a bit “customization”? Did you try to render it with Mantra or write the same shader for it?

thanks,
Sy.

I am pretty sure you can get the exact same thing or better! without using renderman, the thing is that we had people already familiar with writting shaders on renderman and stuff so we used the resources.

now about the Renderman.shader, the shader has a property that fakes viscosity and even the speed stretching found on different metaball/mesh systems, and you can set it to work based on the density, speed, collision, etc. think metaballs but without the need of a big ugly geometry.

Looks awesome

What was this used in or done for?

I decided to create the cgINK system few months ago, after dealing with at least 4 tv spots that required ink on them. the setup is better and more stable now! and now i just expand it as needed.

here some stills using a more controled(modified/stylized as watercolor, 100% procedural, and more accurate interaction with the geo animation) ink on a upcoming commercial.

Hi,

I bet you are probably too busy, but I'll still take a chance…

is there any way of putting that in a tutorial or do you have any links that will point me in the right direction? A basic *.hipnc with a basic setup that can point me into the right direction maybe if you are allowed to share this?

This looks very close to what I want to achieve for a noncommercial uni project - well actually initially I wanted to know how to do it and then wrapped a uni project around it

Anyhow any help appreciated oh and did u by any chance get that mantra render done u were mentioning earlier in the thread?
