I have a serious problem. Probably somebody had to solve this few times ago, i din't find it.
I just bought a new MacbookPro 5.3. 2,66Ghz with 2 graphic chips. NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT: and NVIDIA GeForce 9400M: with OS X10.6.2. . I don't understand where the problem is?
I tried three versions: 10.0.430., 465. ,467.. Everyone of them is broken this way.
What should I do ? please help! :cry:

I don't know any Mac solutions, but I've had similar issue (no icons) on Linux.
You can try two things:
1) http://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com_forum&Itemid=172&page=viewtopic&p=80505&sid=a5f3a8496a53efbf08f37914d86b2e4e [sidefx.com] (drop the libs in hsvg folder, but NOT the whole folder)

2) Sometimes on H10 sets wrong permissions for the houdini folder in the home directory. Removing the directory, or better changing the ownership to a correct user, might help.

I have no idea if any of the above can somehow be applied to a Mac install.

OK, so the problem is solved so I paste here the solution If anybody in future has similar problem.
What's happening is that during install, the following directory config
directory is becoming locked: ~/Library/Preferences/houdini/10.0
The developer has recommended that you delete the directory so that it
can get rebuilt under your user permissions. And It works!
