I take below error when I try to launching Houdini in the Linux Mint 15 !
At the first time ,When I enter in the Mint ,Every things works good ,Houdini opening correctly.
But after working for some time ,when I working with Houdini ,usually Houdini crashed immediately and I take below error.(attached image)
Also I can't run another instance of the Houdini and I take same error too.
Every time I restart my system ,Houdini works good again and I can run multiple instancing of the Houdini at the same time too,But after working for sometimes my problem happening again !!! :x
I try different build and version of the Houdini (Like H 12.5.560 or H13) ,But I take same error too
Maybe this is for my VGA driver (and I updated it too ).
VGA : ATI HD7770
is there another reason !?
This is my log file's data in the tmp :

Long ago, I had an issue with ATI drivers on Linux not properly releasing resources and eventually Houdini wouldn't start, requiring a reboot. This was about 5 years ago however, and I thought they'd fixed that in a later version (like 9.10 or something). Perhaps there has been a regression.
Unfortunately I never found a workaround for Houdini, a reboot or restarting X was the only solution.

Thanks twod for your regard
Yes ,I have exactly same problem like you ,Maybe I should change my Linux distribution or (if it's not work) finally change my ATI VGA !
I have another system with nVidia and that's cool and I don't have any problem with it.
I don't know why ATI is a bad guy for 3D Applications.
I had too many problem with it in some other softwares like Maya.
But nVidia is really good friend in my works always 8)
If you find another solution ,please call me ,tnx
