I am running the Houdini 8.1 Beta and when I open the particle quickstart file included with the partical tutorial, I cannot see the actual rockets geometry. The rocket node os visible in the network pane but I stil cannot see it in the viewport, even after I press return to enter the operational state. Can any1 shed some light on this? Thanks all

If you dive inside the Rocket Object, do you a lot of red on all of the nodes?

If you do then go to the very first file sop and hit the plus sign, locate the rocket2.bgeo file.

Thanks for the response RickW. I did what you said and jumped into the rocket objects SOP network. There was indeed red displaying on all of the nodes. The top first node called called “file 1” was also red. I hit the + symbol and selected the rocket2.bgeo file. However, when I then go back into object mode, I still see no rocket geometry and the SOP nodes still have red on them :x

Can you set the display flag on that file1 sop and then hit space G in the viewport to home the view. You should be able to see the rocket.

If you do see it then set the display flag onto the last node in that chain (shop1.)

If you don't see the rocket, does the file1 sop still have the red error on the node name?

Hi, Ive got the same problem, but i dont get those red nodes tha you wee talking about, if i zoom out then i see the circular prism thing, that i guess is the shading surce or something. But i ca get to see the rocket?!
