Hi guys,
I'm still pretty new to Houdini.

I'm working on a project that has a building explode from the inside.
The building is made from RBD Point objects that points to walls bricks. I'm using particles to create the explosive force. The problem i'm running into is that the force the particles create send the bricks flying waaaaaaaaay to far. I'm tried messing with the particles' velocity and mass and messing with the mass of the bricks. But i'm not seeing any change.

Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong or a better way to create the explosive force?

Thanks in advance.

try adding drag, and also looking at the speed limit POP

For doing explosive type motions, I've found that you need two levels of drag (combined with gigantic outwards force): the first is huge, by a factor of 10, over the second, which only kicks in once the particles have slowed down below a certain speed. This gives you fast motion for 3-5 frames at most, and then allows for an arbitrary time of gentle coasting.

Hey guys, thanks for your suggestions. I figured out i had some crazy particles bouncing off of the grounds and gaining tangent velocity. So I got rid of that and added the drag like you mentioned and it's working great. Thanks again.
