The right click menu in the vex editor (network editor) allowing you to select a wire between nodes and disconnect breaks if you zoom in. All you can get is the default menu.

Update note .I am finding it impossible to do anything on the network editor (VEX) . I select nodes and the yellow highlighted box around a node stays in place while you move the node.

Also noticed if you create a parameter node and leave the name at defaults , create another , the second parameter node remains locked up.Not sure if thats designed to happen ?

Not sure if all this weirdness is due to me or my graphics drivers or H9

Hi circusmonkey,

I've seen this sort of error before, but I've never had a reproducible testcase (and so I've never been able to fix it ). If you can provide me with a hip file or steps to reproduce, I'll make sure that it gets some love.

Thanks lots!

Hi all.

I have the same problem.

1. Houdini version - 9.0.79x (i install new builds every day. First - drink coffee , second - install new build of Houdini. May be i need the express cure ? )

2. In any* “hipnc” project file. I have the huge collections of my tests, and work in all. And this problem don`t linked with “hipnc” file contents.

3. Distributives - workstation with Fedora Core 7 x64, with all last updates, and second workstation with fedora core 5 - x86 with all last updates.

4. Hardware.
GeForce 8600 GTS (on FC7 - x64 ) Driver version 100.14.19-x86_64. (Really stupid driver version, but any older not support my GPU.)

On second workstation with FC5 x86 (my home workstation, i do all primary work on H9 in home) i have Nvidia GeForce 7300. Driver version: 100.14.11.

What happens:

My troubles with disconnection nodes in VEX builder network. I can`t find any workaround now. I do scale-unscale the network editor content, switch link look mode “s” hotkey.

* I assign hotkey to “Disconnect” links. Not help.

I test many GLX options in my xorg.conf ( CLoverlay, triple buffer e.t.c. ) - dont`t help.

This only* in VEX builder.
