DALLAS/FORT WORTH: 13th annual Industry Giants conference presented by the nonprofit animators' group, A Bunch of Short Guys, offers one full day of master classes, discussions and networking. Industry Giants 2014: Visual Effects, Animation and Game Forum features a distinctive lineup of industry professionals working in animation and visual effects for film, television, and games. This year A Bunch of Short Guys have teamed up again with Big Design and the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) to have a joint conference focused on art, animation, games and interactive development all under one roof with joint keynote speaker being VFX legend, Phil Tippett.

Industry Giants 2014 will be a one-day event with the forum and MasterClasses taking place on Saturday, September 6, 2014 from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 14315 Midway Rd, Addison, TX 75001. Masterclasses instructors include Raul Aparicio (Hammer and Chisel), Tom Bancroft (Taught by a Pro), Steve Emmerson (Liaka), Mike Mattesi (Author “Force: Dynamic Life Drawing for Animators”), Michael Mentler (Society of Figurative Arts), Austin Meyers (The Molicule), Terryl Whitlatch (Character Designer) and more to be announced soon.

Tickets for Industry Giants can be purchased in advance at IndustryGiants.org or at the venue the day of the event, space permitting. Ticket quantity is limited, so be sure to get your tickets early! Your ticket price includes lunch on Saturday. Ticket pricing is as follows:

A Bunch of Short Guys (ABOSG) is a non-profit organization that fosters education and career development for students and professionals in the animation and visual effects industry. The group hosts free monthly meetings on the third or fourth Saturday of the month. In addition, ABOSG presents Industry Insights, an ongoing series featuring industry artists, as well as various training workshops. INDUSTRY GIANTS 2013: Visual Effects, Animation and Game Forum

DALLAS/FORT WORTH: 12th annual Industry Giants will be the biggest year to date as A Bunch of Short Guys have teamed up with Big Design and the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) to have dual conferences focused on art, animation, games and interactive development all under one roof. Industry Giants 2013: Visual Effects, Animation and Game Forum features a distinctive lineup of more than a dozen industry professionals working in animation and visual effects for film, television, and games.

Industry Giants 2013 is a two-day event with the forum and panel discussion taking place on Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and The Industry Giants MasterClasses to be held on Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 14315 Midway Rd, Addison, TX 75001.

Hosted annually by the nonprofit animators' group, A Bunch of Short Guys, Industry Giants 2013 offers two full days of learning, discussions and networking. The Industry Giants forum and panel discussion includes individual presentations by industry professionals followed by a panel discussion on creative approaches and methods. A Bunch of Short Guys, in association with SMU Guildhall and the Texas Film Commission, are proud to present to you with the golden opportunity of this year’s Industry Giants 2010: Creative Alchemy, the Visual Effects, Animation and Game Forum. The two day conference features Weta Digital 3D Special Effects Supervisor, Guy Williams, with a presentation on the making the film Avatar and Creating the world and characters of Pandora, along with many other presentations from creative professionals around the world. The ninth annual event takes place Saturday, June 12 and Sunday, June 13, 2010 at the Hughes-Trigg Student Center of Southern Methodist University, 3140 Dyer Street, Dallas, Texas 75205. It’s open to the public, students and industry professionals.
Hosted annually by the filmmaking/visual effects, animation, game development non-profit, A Bunch of Short Guys, and this year in association with SMU’s Guildhall at Southern Methodist University’s premiere graduate video game education program and the Texas Film Commission, Industry Giants 2010 features Masterclasses and a one-day forum and panel discussion. The event features a distinctive lineup of speakers working in all areas of animation and visual effects for film, television, and games.
