Projecting an image as a texture on an RBD Fracture Nov. 10, 2012, 11:24 a.m.

Hi everyone,

This post is in the reference to the post on projecting an image as a texture on RBD fracture on the following link:

http://forums.odforce.net/index.php?/topic/16174-project-an-image-as-a-texture-on-an-rbd-fracture/page__hl__drill [forums.odforce.net]

I have a similar scene to start with but when I try to render out the texture on the 4th step I am getting a distorted look of the texture. I am uploading my file as well as the cached geometry. I am not able to figure out the problem in my file. Kindly have a look at the file and help me in sorting out the problem. Any kind of help will be highly appreciable. The link to my file is:

Smoke SImulation For A Train Nov. 4, 2012, 8:29 a.m.

I am working on a train smoke simulation and I really need a small help from you guys. I am unable to generate a train exhaust look out of it. I am attaching the file with this post so that I can get some input from you guys. What I feel right now is that the backward movement of the smoke coming out of the chimney of the train is not long enough. And the most important thing is that right now the simulation is of 5000 frames which is a bit too much for my shot. I want to bring down the animation of chimney covering the the Track path to only 500 frames, but when I tries to achieve that, the simulation stops working. Please have a look at the file. Any kind of help will be highly appreciable.

Thanks and Regards

PS - My source object is really very small as compared to the track and if I make the source animation faster i.e. for 500 frames it runs out of the range of the container. I tried almost everything to make it stay inside the container. And slow simulation is the only solution that I came up with which is working for me. But it is taking really a long time to simulate.
