how to inherit velocity from particle(or point) Sept. 6, 2010, 12:32 a.m.

I think you want to look at the example file of the Volume From Attrib SOP
Thanks. But It's make a volume from attribute. I think It's not I want. I need volume inheritted velocity from particles for pyro volume motion blur and pyro fuel looks like stretched toward the particle velocity.
I think it's a vel volume primitive(vel.xyz). but I cant control it(copy from particle velcoty?).

how to inherit velocity from particles(or points) to the volume primitive?
both are different type, so i cant inherit velocity from paritcles to volume primitive. therfore source from point has not correct velocity. they(fuel) are just emitted at each particles moving position. i want make that emit from patricles fuel velocity is same like particles velocity.
sorry, i cant write english well.

You make sure you export your “vel” volume primitive.
In the same way you bring in your density/heat/fuel fields from dops, you can bring in your “vel” field. This will be picked up by mantra for motionblur.
thanks. how can i do it? do you mean this default setting?
