Can we use different languages for the tutorials? such as Hindi? And also, will teaching about houdini to cryengine come into the gamedev tutorials category, and will hdk come into the pipeline category?

All tutorials need to be in English as per the Tutorial Guideline [www.sidefx.com] document.

It is the Lesson Type that drives the submission so Houdini to CryEngine would be "Gamedev and Realtime" and HDK would be "Production and Workflow Lesson" - We currently don't have a category for CryEngine - maybe use the Digital Asset category under pipeline. HDk would be pipeline.

I have some questions.


1- Can I use a Houdini Apprentice license?

2- Can I create more lessons in the different Categories? (e.g I can record one video for Modeling and one for VFX? )

3- Can I use the infographics inside the video and/or show a different software or not?



"Videos should be at a minimum 10 minutes long to be eligible. If you make a multi-video then some lessons such as an introduction might be less than 10 minutes but the total of all videos should be more than 10 minutes."

4- so I can create one lesson of 12 minutes and split it into 3 videos, for example?


Lessons must be uploaded to the entrant's profile on the SideFX website.

5- so I should post in the tutorial section on SideFX website follow the "tutorial guideline" right?
