I made my first experiments with gaussian splatting. But the render quality in Karma is very bad compared to the previews of Lichtfeld Studio and SuperSplat. I imported the .ply file and set a Bake GSplat node.
Have I missed something?

I made another test. It’s really disappointing. Even the preview in SOPs looks much better than the XPU rendering (with and without denoising).
Am I the only one who thinks so?

Yea, I'm having the same issue. I'm not sure how to fix it. The splats I'm testing look fine in Nuke but not Karma.

After doing a bit more research, I’ve come to the conclusion that there’s no solution for Karma. I hope that changes. For now, it’s probably better to use Octane. But I haven’t subscribed to it at the moment.

Cool, thanks for the tip. It’s not quite up to the preview quality of Houdini VK, but it’s definitely an improvement.

That seems to help, Thanks! This plus Optix or NeatVideo might be the sweet spot for now. Agree that it's looking better in Houdini VK (and Nuke).
