There are soooo many little things to click on in the UI and most of them are about 2 pixels away from things I regularly use, like tabs. It would be really nice to be able to lock all collapsed shelves, resize window bars and those little "restore pane" arrow buttons on the bars.
I have lost count of how many times that I have accidentally clicked those and had to reset my desktop or hunt down the little shelf bar to re-collapse it.
Side question: If there isnt any way to currently do that, is there a searchable list for submitted RFE's? Or anyway to know if something like that has already been requested? Or does it matter and I should just submit it anyway?

Hi,
You can use the Toggle Stowbars feature:

There isn’t a public searchable SESI bug/RFE database, so users can’t check whether the same RFE already exists. SESI can review it internally and link it to an existing bug/RFE if they find that it has already been reported. Duplicate RFEs can still be useful because they show that more users are affected or want the same improvement.

I have an RFE in for exactly this. "Lockable UI" the same as you have in 3ds Max. Toggle it on, and none of the UI
can be accidentally closed, saving you from having to reload the desktop.
