How can make the flip simulation to interact with an animation the is traveling too fast and seem to skip a lot of space between frames, i have time blend for the collision and I tried modifiying the collider to fake the substeps collision and also try to increase the Flip solver substeps but none of this give good result. so far the only way to make this work well was using the DOP substeps more tham 10, it make it slowwer to sim, but the result were good and manage to complete the work, but still want to know if there is another solution for this big jumps betwens frames with fast moving collisions

In the picture I put an example since I cant share the hip file, also put the substeps settings that I used to make it work, also I cache the collision subsframes too

You could try using the trail sop on your boat to stretch the geometry to the length of its movement during the subframe.
