Hello all, I am doing some tests with Houdini 21 FX and the Otis muscle system. I can run the sim locally on my FX license, and then on the farm through Deadline which is pulling a Houdini Engine license. I also have access to a core license and either it isn’t getting picked up or perhaps a different internal issue, but my overall question is trying to understand if the Otis sim will even run on a Core license if sent from an FX file to farm (like how my Houdini Engine license is doing) or if that Core will not pick up the Otis sim regardless. Thanks for any help/understanding.

Yes, you can run an Otis sim on a Core license, you just aren't able to create Otis Solver nodes or modify their parameters in Core, but if you have an existing file with an Otis Solver in it, it should run fine in Core. So the issue should be something else. Please reach out to Support if you're still having an issue. (I'm assuming your Core/Engine licenses are for H21, as Otis didn't exist in prior versions).

Thank you for your response, yes the FX/Core/Engine licenses are all H21 so I believe I am just having some Deadline submission/connectivity type of issues. Thanks again.
