I always think the way Sidefx arranges this is, well... bizarre. The sneak peak, the 'launch' event... and then everyone is left waiting for a month...
Maybe that’s the whole point. Building anticipation. The dates don’t always align. Just because you booked a show doesn’t mean the software is ready to ship. Does apple ship iOS week after WWDC?

FYI, during the keynote livestream they also said “weeks not months”.

it will be launched on 22 july (probably), because keynote was also released on 22 june😉

No need to be so dramatic lmao. What bad precedent? It's not like that studios would bleed money because they can only access H22 one week later.
Honestly, the past few releases are the bad precedents as how unstable they were at release. I'd rather SideFX to take a bit of time to fix bugs and the freaking vulkan viewport instead of rushing it.
