I have contacted support, but haven't yet heard back.

So I had H21 installed. It was working perfectly... It might have been Indie version at some point, but I'm pretty sure the license expired.

I have installed H22 today. When I launch it, it says license not found so I choose to install or reinstall my free Apprentice license. I accept the terms.

Then it says 'it appears you're not an apprentice user. Apprentice licenses and non-apprentice licenses can not be installed on the same servers. Are you certain you want to proceed'. I select 'yes' and nothing happens.

I have uninstalled ALL instances of Houdini's and servers running, rebooted, and reinstalled. And no change...

Was so eager to try it out tonight.

You need to switch the license server and install the Apprentice license there. You can't mix license types on the same license server. So if your Indie license server is your machine, you can use the sidefx server as the license server for the apprentice license. Add it in the license manager and install the license there.

Any chance you could kindly walk me through those steps in more detail?

Actually never mind, support got back to me and I was able to work through the troubleshooting with them.
