When I try to focus on a selected Apex joint while using a Rigpose SOP , for instance a finger joint , Houdini focuses on the complete skeleton rig every time , it even doesn't center the view based on the currently selected joint.

Does one need to use I a special hotkey combination to focus on a single Apex joint , or did I stumble upon a bug ?

IIRC that has always been how Rigpose SOP works. I agree it's a bad design / bug though.

Also, seems like H.22 has broken the option to set the viewport pivot on selection (Selecting Geometry Sets the View Point is called in Prefs>3D Viewers), or at least, it's not working for me. When selecting a point for example, the viewport tumbles around the hole object, even though "On tumble" is set to "keep current pivot" and "set pivot" doesn't work either.

I just tested it and it works for me. My settings look like this:

Hm. Seems like setting the "Zooming Centers on > Mouse Pointer" auto-disables the "Selecting Geometry Sets the View Pivot" for some reason (I had it set on "View Center").
This was not the case in H.21.

And when I set "On Tumble" > "Keep Current Pivot" the "Selecting Geometry Sets the View Pivot" option no longer works in viewport even though it active in prefs. Again, working fine in H.21.

Moreover, even with your @raincole settings, it's not working consistently. After a panning, selecting a new component, it no longer keeps the view pivot of that selection.

In H.21 with the settings bellow (+ Maintain viewport pivot when panning), which is equivalent to the 1st column active for all 4 options in H.22, it works perfectly.

Just submitted an RFE for the joint focus issue , lets hope this will be picked up and fixed someday.

Thank you for submitting this.

It would be nicer to work with a shortcut.

So far I use ctrl-alt-box select, but I guess you know it and also do not like so much.
