Axyz is on the prowl!!!

Key Toronto FX house Axyz Animation is looking for an FX animator to
work on top o' the line commercials in beautiful, sunny, SARS-free
Toronto! We are a small shop more interested in having a talented tight
group rather than a factory floor, and to us the people are far more
important that the boxes - we no more want to burn out people than we
would burn out the computers. We are using state of the art software like
Houdini and Renderman, along with support from such packages as
3DEqualizer, Discreet Flint and Infernos, and the best editors in the
country feed us some great work. For a smattering of what we do, check
out www.axyzfx.com and see what you think. We have a great view of Lake
Ontario out of our 10th floor balconies - no chained up animators
slaving in a mossy basement here! Also included is a great benefit
program, immediate proximity to all the downtown action, and a mixed
environment where you will work alongside experienced compositors,
painters, 2D animators and editors.

Who are we looking for? Someone that can take on whatever we pitch at
them - familiar with all the phases of FX post production or willing to
learn them. Efficiency and communication are key, as is the ability to
learn from the inevitable mistakes we all make. Experience with Houdini
is strongly preferred, although we will certainly consider outstanding
talent from another background. Modelling, rigging, animation, shading
- all these basic areas with a strong problem-solving ability will
outline the key candidates. Oh, and a Good Eye. Can't forget the Good
Eye.

If your attention is piqued and you'd like to learn more, please email
me (be careful to NOT respond to a list please!) at:

and say hi!

Cheers,

Hey John ,

If you have any positions closer to entry level, make sure to post them here also. I live in TO and would love to be part of your Org but those job reqs are a bit out of my league. Its always the experience issue.
