hi i am having so much difficulty installing the apprentice version 6.1 of houdini. i followed the instructions exactly the way they stated. i tried automatically installing the license from the license administrator, then when that failed i looked up my server host and server code and server hosts name and tried to do it manually online it didnt work (it went to the next page which said “Error generating key” i even went to file– install liscense where they asked for my email address and password (i regestered for the apprentice and they never asked me for a password they only asked name mailing address and email address.)

by the way iam installing it on windows xp

The license server was down for a bit. I couldn't get licenses last night but today it works. Just run Houdini and click on “install non-commercial license” in the window that pops up.
